Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+13ca8 ) Any advice on next steps for diagnosis very welcome! I'll paste the initial analysis here, but the actual dump file is several GB due to the virtual machines that were running at the time of the crash. The laptop is running the latest available drivers as far as I can find them from Lenovo and have this morning disabled the visual features in Windows 8 to see if that helps. I've run the WinDiag on the memory dmp, but can't see if it's a specific driver that's causing the issue as it suggests the problem is with ntkrnlmp.exe so not really sure where to look next. I'm running VMware Workstation 8 most of the time with Server 2012 guests. I've been receiving BSOD's due to DPC_Watchdog_Violation. I'm running a Lenovo W530, with Windows 8 64 bit and 32Gb of memory.
